ABOUT ME
I'm a Consultant Cardiologist at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Medicine at the University of Leeds. I bring a holistic approach to medicine in order to find comfortable and effective solutions for everyone.
Your consultation with me will be thorough. In addition to any medications that might be needed we will explore how changes in diet and exercise can have a massive positive impact on your heart health.

Dr Abdel-Rahman is one of the leading Imaging Cardiologists in Yorkshire. He is an expert at investigating the heart by advanced non-invasive techniques. He also has a specialist interest in heart valve disease and has one of the largest heart valve clinics in the UK.
Having trained at some of the world’s top hospitals in the UK and Canada he graduated from Imperial College London in 2002. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine degree for his research on novel blood tests to help in the early detection of heart attacks.
Dr Abdel-Rahman has been a Consultant at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust since 2014. He has performed and overseen over 5000 non-invasive imaging cardiac assessments and trained doctors from Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Switzerland, the Middle East and many doctors in the UK on how to perform advanced cardiac echocardiography and cardiac CT. He helps run one of the only UK peri-operative transoesophageal echocardiography courses and has been a national examiner for the British Society of Echocardiography.
Dr Abdel-Rahman is actively involved in clinical research and has been involved in numerous large studies.
